For you to outshine your competitors your website hosting i.e your site speed must be fast as possible if not you won’t outrank them despite your Quality content.

APPS

2. SEM – Search engine marketing

This is where businesses and organizations compete or bid for ad space or certain keyword for their services to show up on search engines. This is the paid version of the search engine. Grab a cup of coffee, stay tuned and let’s get started!.

3. How to create Facebook ads to promote your Business Online

What is Facebook ads PPC
PPC is known as PAY-PER-CLICK i.e whenever your ads appear to a specific audience and no one clicks on the ad, you won’t be charged. That’s pay per click – you pay once someone clicks on your ad. Interesting right? Let’s move on.

4. Steps to take before creating Facebook ads

  • Make sure you have a Facebook page whether business or personal account.
  • You must have a website
  • Create a landing page on your website where you want to drive your objective to whether traffic or leads.
  • Install Facebook Pixels and Facebook chrome helper – It helps you to build an audience, in addition, to measure and track the event on your website.
  • Link your Instagram account with a Facebook account.

How to create my first Facebook ads

Navigate to your Facebook ads manager – audience section – then create a custom audience
Note: In the custom audience you can exclude and include your audience. For instance, if a specific audience has completed a sign-up form, you can exclude them and include those that haven’t completed the sign-up form i.e the conversion process.

Then, click on create campaign

5. Facebook Objectives

Now, let’s begin, Facebook will show you a lot of objectives for your campaign depending on your business goal. If your objective or aim is brand awareness, then click on it and get started, also if it’s traffic you can as well click on it but make sure it fits into your core business objective.

Now, I choose engagement as my business objective i.e I want to get more people to see and engage with my post or page. It includes comments, shares, likes, event responses and offers claims.
Facebook does give an automatic or generic campaign, you can as well replace it to any campaign name you wish to use.

So, I selected traffic as my business core objective
A screen like this will show up, then fill in your details and click on continue

Let’s create our campaign using adset

Sometimes, if you create a single adset you will have to section them into different ad groups. Why? so that Facebook can optimize the ad that’s performing best and you can easily figure out which ad is working or not. There is an option for multiple adset as well, it depends on which one you want to choose directly.

Then, select your audience based on location, Age, Gender and language, this is what I called segmentation. For a new Facebook PPC account, you don’t have a saved audience and custom audience yet. Select the location, age, the gender you think is the best for your campaign and keep your campaign organized and simplify.

How do I know the age and Gender that fits in for my services?

Navigate to Facebook ads manager menu – Plan – Audience Insights
This gives you wealth information about the statistics you need to know about your audience in terms of gender, age and location. Please stop guessing about the interest of your audience.

Then, it will look like this

Try to figure out your audience's interest and behavior before setting up an ad campaign. You can click on the browse button to know what they are interested in, you can also click on the suggestion button to have more insight and alternative to what might interest them. Narrow your audience but make sure your target audience best suits what you want to achieve.

At the right corner, you will see your potential reach for the audience you are targeting.

6. Social media Platforms

By default, Facebook will have an “automatic placement” selected. Well, it depends on your objective and what you want to achieve. If you want to unchecked the Instagram feeds you can i.e if you don’t want your ad to show on Instagram.

Automatic Placements

If you’re putting your first step into Facebook adverting, I suggest that you use the automatic bidding. Let Facebook set the bid that helps you get the most link clicks at the best price. Why? because many business advertisers are competing with each other, each of them is intending to reach their target audience. Facebook bidding works on an AUCTION SYSTEM i.e advertiser who has the best bid and relevance(Quality score) and estimated action rates wins the race.

Manual Bidding

If you know what exactly you want to do without wasting the market budget, then you can select the manual bidding. If your adset is for link clicks, you can set the PPC you’re willing to pay. Facebook will show you suggested bids make sure your bids are higher than the suggested bid a little or even higher for better optimization of your business ad campaign. This tells us the amount we will be spending on the delivery of ads on a daily basis during the campaign. Lets, say Facebook spots high-potential opportunities, it may spend up to 20% more than your daily budget and then lower the spend on the low-potential days.

Select the format that suits your business objective and there are quality free stocks you can choose from. But, make sure the resolution of the image is 1200 by 628 pixels, you can as well choose a square format for a better view.

8. Presentation

The description of your ad must be Quality, engaging, relevant and sweet to the audience. So that they can click and perform a specific action on your website. Always include a call to action like “BUY NOW“, “CALL NOW“, “SIGN UP” and so on.
